Posted by Luci Ackers on 7 December 2016

While you're up this way at the King's Arms Hotel look out for any of the following and indulge in a little Yorkshire treat!

The Wensleydale Creamery

Famous for its cheese, the Wensleydale Creamery are dairy experts and have been crafting cheese products since the 1800s. Last year the creamery launched their new Yorkshire Yogurt which is naturally thick and creamy and comes in four delicious flavours: strawberry & Raspberry, rhubarb & vanilla, lemon curd and toffee apple.

Hesper Farm

Naturally low in fat, these Icelandic-style Skyr yogurts are produced on Hesper Farm in the Yorkshire Dales. Skyr has actually been around since the Viking times and is very popular in Scandinavian countries. Hesper is the UK's first and only farm to produce the product. It is naturally fat-free and very low in sugar!

Yorvale

For something a little different, try Yorvale's natural frozen yogurt. Based in York, Yorvale products use milk from the cows on the nearby family farm. This healthy frozen yogurt is 100% natural and comes in four flavours: honey, blueberry, raspberry and mango & lime. The family began producing their products in the early 80s and the family business has grown and grown.

Stamfrey Farm

Perhaps more famously known for its clotted cream, Stamfrey is run by Sue Gaudie who was raised in Cornwall and just couldn't do without the taste of home! The organic yogurt is just as delicious and made with the milk from the cream-making process. It's ideal breakfast yogurt, the perfect consistency for pouring.
