Costa Teguise walking and hiking route

Walk Instructions
From Santa Rosa main reception, Turn right along the roadside pavement, passing HIPERDINO then cross the road.
1) In a further 100m turn left to follow a well-used dirt track across an undeveloped area, heading for the sea.
2) Turn left at the promenade, soon passing an abstract sculpture, the base of a stone tower and Playa Bastian. Pass the Villa Toledo (restaurant) before bearing right at a pedestrian roundabout to continue close to the sea. After the Playa del Jablillo, go round a headland, passing the Nautilus apartment complex. The forward view is now over the Playa de las Cucharas.
3) Pass a circular seat and cross a road leading to a stone jetty, which has peculiar structures at the far end. Walk up the roadside pavement for 100m, then bear right past a row of shops and cafés. Bear right again, slightly uphill, before turning right to pass above the gardens behind the Playa de las Cucharas. Pass a medical centre and garden, with modern sculptures. Cross a bridge over a dry stream bed and turn right at a junction in 20m to stay behind the beach. The promenade becomes a sandy track beside the sea. Go round a curved stone wall and continue ahead over a sandy surface to reach a road which leads to a breakwater on the right. Bear left past a small
windmill, now back on a promenade behind Playa de los Charcos, enclosed by two breakwaters. Pass a windmill and the Sands Beach Resort, a large holiday complex with lagoon. Pass another windmill and leave the built-up area of Costa Teguise, heading past the remains of an old wooden windmill towards a substantial house.
4) Less than 100m before the isolated house turn left along a dirt roadway, with a dry stone wall on the right, to head inland, rising gently past a junction with a dirt road leading to a group of properties.
5) Reach a public highway, the end of the Avenida de las Islas Canarias, turning left along the roadside pavement to walk towards Costa Teguise, passing a bar. There is a bus stop a few metres beyond the entrance to the Sands Beach Resort (on the opposite side of the road).
