Walk Instructions
Start Point
Little Drum Car park. Turn left from Tigh Mor to head towards Callander, pass Brig o' Turk and also the Glen Finglas car park & visitor centre. Little Drum is on the right hand side. Approx 2.5 miles from Tigh Mor.
Note that wayposts on this walk have chevrons rather than collars.
Walk towards the pedestrian gate which leads to Lendrick Lodge, but keep to the left and follow the path with the green/pink wayposts.
In about 150m (2-3 mins) there is a seat on the right and the track bends uphill to the left, past another two seats on the left.
In a further 100m (2 mins) there is a log seat and a path with pink waypost on the right - Point 1 (NN547063). Ignore this junction and in a few metres there is a path on the left with a green waypost.
Turn left at this junction and wind delightfully between the trees on a narrow path past several sculptures and a couple of seats with views across to Lendrick.
At a sharp right bend, just by a ‘sound sculpture' a path on the left leads a short distance to the ‘Clach', a glacial erratic boulder.
In about 500m (8-10 mins) from the junction, you rejoin the main path 100m or so beyond the original green waypost.
At this point you can either turn right following green wayposts, to return directly to the car park, or turn left, through a gate and down to the end of Loch Venachar and the Blackwater marshes in about 200m (3-4 mins).
This is a lovely spot to sit and relax or watch wildlife.
To Return
Return through the gate and carry straight along the path (past both green & the pink junctions) to the car park.
