Trossachs Treks: Explore The stunning Trossachs on foot

Arthur Jones knows the Scottish Hills inside out. Not only is he a qualified mountain leader and the guide for Trossachs Treks walking tours, but he has also lived and walked these hills for most of his life.

Whether you're looking for a bit of a challenge, fancy seeing a little more of the area, or there's a whole group of you who want to learn more about the beautiful landscape then these walks will be ideal. They can be tailored to suit a whole range of expectations and aspirations, offing you your ideal outdoor experience. Walks generally depart from around Aberfoyle, a little village right in the heart of Scotland's Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, and from here you'll venture into hidden glens and undiscovered beauty spots.

Arthur's walks can be pretty long but they're not meant as an endurance exercise; you will be walking at a comfortable pace, enjoying time to rest and time to appreciate your surroundings or simply soak up the fresh air. Some of the more regular routes range from a circular walk that encompasses the prominent hill behind Aberfoyle, Ben Venue, with its twin summits and picturesque views, to a slightly easier wooded walk; the Jubilee Pinewoods walk explores a great little corner of the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. With such wild and changeable scenery, no two walks are the same.

Trossachs Treks also offers navigation workshops for those of you who are eager to improve your map reading and compass skills. It combines theory with practice and will also show you how to integrate GPS devices into traditional navigation methods if you are interested in learning. For more information on what's on offer, have a look at the website.

Hi Patricia,

Thank you! Tigh Mor is a beautiful place isn't it? We do indeed accept dogs in a number of the properties on site, so there's no worries there.

If you are new to us you can request a free brochure (at the bottom of the page) for more information. I hope that helps,
