More about Rocha Brava
Situated approximately three miles from the seaside town of Carvoeiro, in the centre of the Algarve, Rocha Brava is a large development of fine villas and apartments which benefit from a raft of facilities and amenities.
Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and only 3km from the enchanting old fishing village of Praia do Carvoeiro, Rocha Brava is a haven of beauty and tranquillity. Here you can discover what the heart of the Algarve has to offer, including the numerous silver beaches that are close at hand and some of the best golf courses in the Algarve.
Nearby, the ancient Moorish capital of Silves boasts a fine historic castle. Further north, the Monchique mountains offer a panoramic view of the Algarve on a clear day.
Play golf on world-class courses
Golfers will be delighted at the choice of courses in the vicinity, as the Algarve is repeatedly named as the world's best golfing destination. Even if you've never picked up a 9-iron before, there are plenty of places you can learn to play the game too. Experienced golfers, meanwhile, will feel right at home on the many first-class Championship courses.
Have fun with the family
If you're bringing the kids along with you to Rocha Brava, there are plenty of fun family attractions to keep them happy. Slide & Splash is regarded as one of Europe's best water parks and it has rides to suit all ages. Zoomarine is another attraction popular with families. The kids will love the dolphin shows, pirate-themed performances and, of course, the waterpark. It's well worth a visit.
Hit the beaches
With more than 300 days of sunshine a year, you can't come to the Algarve without enjoying the incredibly clean and beautiful beaches. There's more than 200km of coastline to explore, so you're spoilt for choice. If you're looking for somewhere a little more private, there are plenty of coves here too.
Take a boat trip
One of the best ways to get to the top beaches and coves is by boat, so why not take a pleasure trip from Portimão? You can swim from the boat and go snorkelling or simply sunbathe on the deck. Keen fishers can take trips catering especially for them. Big game fishing trips are available for beginners and more experienced anglers – why not give it a go? You may end up bringing home some dinner.
Shop until you drop
The shopping centres in the Algarve aren't to be missed – though it would be hard to, as they're open every day until midnight! You can treat yourself, or friends and relatives back home, to a range of locally made products, including decorated tiles, pottery, crystal, jewellery, embroidered tablecloths and cork products. The local markets are worth a visit too; you'll find everything you could possibly want there, from cheap clothes to fresh fruit and vegetables.
Long-stay holidays
We offer concessionary long-stay holiday specials for those who wish to stay at Rocha Brava for more than a week. Please read our brochure or get in touch with us for more details.
