Located just a mile from the town of Beaumaris, on the beautiful Welsh island of Anglesey, is historic Henllys – formerly a Franciscan Friary, now converted into comfortable, stylish cottages and apartments.

Henllys, together with its county-standard 18-hole Golf Course, commands 150 acres of hillside parkland, overlooking Beaumaris Castle, the Menai Strait and, beyond, the spectacular mountain ranges of Snowdonia.

The island of Anglesey (Ynys Môn) covers 276 square miles and is separated from the Welsh mainland by the Menai Strait. Anglesey is rich in history and unrivalled in the diversity of its wildlife habitats – from the great sea cliffs, estuaries, lagoons and dunes along its 125 miles of spectacular coastline (95 per cent of which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), to the lakes, wetlands, heaths and rich farmland of the interior.

If you love to spend your holidays by the seaside, you’re going to have a hard time choosing which beaches out of the 46 to visit. Twenty-six of them have won seaside beach awards, six boast Blue Flags and 14 have Green Flags.

Henllys is part of the Holiday Property Bond portfolio offering exclusive access to over 1,400 properties to its 41,000 investors ("Bondholders"). If you are not already a Bondholder and would like further details please see below.

Grab the binoculars and go bird watching

There are thousands of sea birds to be seen at South Stack Cliffs. Kittiwakes, razorbills and guillemots call the cracks in the cliffs home, and can be seen raising their young during the spring and summer. If you’re lucky, you may even get to see puffins and rare choughs.

Experience a taste of Italy at Portmeirion

More than 225,000 people visit Portmeirion every year, and it’s easy to see why. It’s a fascinating, colourful, Italian-style village, located on the southern shores of Snowdonia. It was designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis and consists of 50 buildings, all painted in different colours, and 70 acres of sub-tropical woodland gardens. You many recognise it from the TV show The Prisoner.

Breathe in Anglesey’s fascinating culture

If you fancy learning more about Anglesey, visit the Oriel Ynys Môn, which has information on the area’s Stone Age burial chambers and its incredible medieval castles. Prefer art to history? Check out the gallery part of the museum, where works from both new and established artists are on display.

For a fun day out with all the family, we recommend Plas Newydd Country House and Gardens. Set on the shores of the Menai Strait, you’ll adore the views of Snowdonia here.

Take the kids somewhere special

All chocolate-loving kids will be in heaven at Foel Farm and Chocolate Factory. Not only can your kids see the expert chocolatier at work (and try the results in the shop), they can also feed the animals and take a tour around the real working farm on a tractor.

Best of all, once you've paid the entry fee, all the rides are free!
