Walk 3 - In and around Llangoed walking and hiking route

Walk Instructions
Start/car parking - HPB Henllys
1. Leaving the driveway at Henllys turn left. At the T junction
turn right to the coast. Turn left joining the coastal path for
about a mile admiring the dramatic view of the Menai Straits
and Snowdonia. Pass through a car park and walk along
another bay.
2. At the end of the bay walk up a slope with a handrail and
turn left up a road. The house on the right is called Carreg
Wen. At next junction go straight on with a bus stop on the
left. Follow this lane round to the left, by some cottages.
3. At the next junction turn left, on a road which says
unsuitable for coaches, with a building on the right which has
a prominent bell. Continue on this narrow lane with lovely
views of Snowdonia and the Menai Straits.
4. Pass a home for elderly on the left, as the road turns to right. At T junction turn left downhill to Llangoed.
5. Go over a bridge past a car park on the left. Continue
through Llangoed with a shop on the left and chapel on
the right.
6. Turn right at street marked Bryn Paun 33-36, and pass the
school on the left. Continue up the lane, the road gets steeper
and later levels off and then goes slightly downhill.
7. As the road bends right, go straight ahead, then the road
bends left.
8. Continue on this road, mainly downhill to Llanfaes. Go past
a white cottage on the left and at the T junction turn left on
the road. At the next junction turn right back to Henllys.
