Bell End Farm - Rosedale

North York Moors, England

Tour de Yorkshire

Tour de Yorkshire

After an incredibly successful first year, the Tour de Yorkshire returns in 2016 for its second edition.

This year the Tour is running from 29th April – 1st May. And the final stage of the route travels, in part, just a short distance from Rosedale! So if you're here on the 1st of May, make sure to go and watch it pass. The nearby Côte de Blakey Ridge is a good vantage point; it's the longest climb of the day and will be leading the competitors up high to beautiful moorland and far-reaching views. It's thought that the race will pass here around 2pm on the Sunday, but for a complete list of times and route information, take a look at the website.

The Tour this year travels through some of Britain's most incredible scenery in the North York Moors National Park. The cyclists (and spectators) will be able to enjoy fantastic views of craggy cliffs and open countryside, as well as visiting some of the quaint villages and larger towns and cities around the area.

Stage 1 of the race will kick off in Beverley and the riders will travel the 185km to the finishing point in Settle. The next day Stage 2 journeys from Otley to the popular market town of Doncaster, and finally Stage 3 begins at Middlesbrough and, after a route of 198km, concludes in Scarborough. This third stage snakes through a lot of popular destinations, so if it's a day out that you fancy, you can catch a glimpse of the cyclists at any number of nice points along the route: Whitby and the picturesque coastal town of Robin Hood's Bay are both great areas for exploring.

The Tour de Yorkshire is organised by Welcome to Yorkshire and the Amaury Sport Organisation, which is the same team behind the Tour de France. Some of the biggest cycling teams from around the world will be attending and the weekend promises to be packed with excitement.

A summary of initial and ongoing charges is in section E of the Product Particulars. Exceptionally surrender may be deferred up to twelve months. Minimum initial payment £5,000 and then a quarterly fee of around thirty pounds linked to RPI. No medical examination required. HPB is available exclusively through HPBM who will only charge for their services if you invest.

HPBM advises only on HPB and is not independent of HPBA. Holders of policies issued by HPBA will not be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme if the company becomes unable to meet its liabilities to them but Isle of Man compensation arrangements apply to new policies.
