Bell End Farm - Rosedale

North York Moors, England

Tour de Yorkshire

Tour de Yorkshire

Following the huge success of the 2014 Tour de France and its Grand Départ, the first two stages of which took place in Yorkshire, this year the county is holding its very own Tour.

All three stages travel through the scenery of Yorkshire, from moorland and countryside to small villages and busy cities. Stage 1 sets off from Bridlington on a journey to Scarborough; Stage 2 travels from Selby to York and Stage 3 travels from Wakefield and concludes in Leeds. The fist stage will be hitting the village of Rosedale Abbey and travelling right alongside our property Rosedale, giving those who are staying here an ideal vantage point.

Kicking off on Friday 1st May 2015, the first stage of this three day event travels through some lovely countryside and the stunning North York Moors National Park, meandering through villages and towns such as Pickering, Whitby and the picturesque Robin Hood's Bay. It has been estimated that the cyclists will travel past Rosedale between 2.00pm and 2.30pm on Friday. This is a great opportunity to snap some fantastic pictures of these professional cyclists in action.

The Tour de Yorkshire is a brand new event from Welcome to Yorkshire and Amaury Sport Organisation, who are the organisers of the Tour de France. Some of the world's top cyclists and teams from around the globe will be competing, racing and making history. As well as an incredible sporting event, Yorkshire is viewing this as a fantastic opportunity to promote its image as one of the best cycling destinations in Britain. The run-up festival which has been taking place from the 1st of April in a series of events across Yorkshire, draws to a conclusion over race weekend with the Eve of Tour Celebration happening on the 30th April. The Celebration takes place in York and will feature music, entertainment and celebrities. The whole weekend promises a great atmosphere.

If you are planning on being a spectator to cheer the cyclists along, or if you are travelling in the area, you can find all the information you need including rolling road closures and route maps on the website here. Or if you are interested in staying in the peaceful old village of Rosedale Abbey yourself and our lovely converted farm building holiday cottages, take a look at the link below.

A summary of initial and ongoing charges is in section E of the Product Particulars. Exceptionally surrender may be deferred up to twelve months. Minimum initial payment £5,000 and then a quarterly fee of around thirty pounds linked to RPI. No medical examination required. HPB is available exclusively through HPBM who will only charge for their services if you invest.

HPBM promotes only HPB and is not independent of HPBA. Holders of policies issued by HPBA will not be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme if the company becomes unable to meet its liabilities to them but Isle of Man compensation arrangements apply to new policies.
