Rocha Brava is part of the Holiday Property Bond portfolio offering exclusive access to over 1,400 properties to its 42,000 investors across more than 30 locations. You can find out more about Rocha Brava here, but first some important information about the Holiday Property Bond. It is designed to provide holidays for life but it is an investment product so subject to charges, your capital is at risk and you may not be able to cash in during the first two years. For further details please read "How HPB Works"

Peter Calver was the brains behind LostCousins, a family history website that allows its users to research their family tree. The website has been running since 2003 and now has over 90,000 users.

With his ongoing goal being to bring people together, Calver decided to set up a course at Rocha Brava, a stunning resort in the Algarve, for those who are interested in learning more about family history. 'Genealogy in the Sunshine' will be entering its fourth year in 2017 and runs for a week in the spring when there will be five days' worth of workshops and talks.

Here at Rocha Brava, we're really proud to be the hosts of this interesting course, and know from past experience just how much the guests enjoy it. You can find out how to stay at Rocha Brava yourself here.

Each year Calver organises for key speakers, who are experts in their field, to come and give an insight into the world of genetics. Last year welcomed Else Churchill from the Society of Genealogists, Chris Paton, a professional historian and writer, and Dr. Debbie Kennett, author and Honorary Research Associate at the University Collage London. These were just three speakers among an incredible line up.

In 2015 about 100 people took part all together, including guests, partners of guests and speakers. The talks covered everything from how to go about conducting your own research and interpreting your ancestors' history, to famous case studies such as the skeleton of Richard III in the Leicester car park, or information on writing articles.

As well as the formal talks, the week also plays host to panel sessions and informal chats and activities, giving everyone the opportunity to get involved and ask questions, rounding off in a fun end-of-course-dinner at Rocha Brava's on-site restaurant O'farol. With such a large group taking part each year it's a really sociable experience for all, as well as an incredibly informative one. And there are a number of social events over the course of the week for everyone to get together and get to know one another.

Participants to the course are welcome to come with a partner or come on their own, there's no restrictions whatsoever. There are both villas and apartments available at Rocha Brava in a range of sizes, and the resort itself is a magnificent place for a holiday. It is situated in Portugal's Algarve region just a short distance from the coast and seaside town of Carvoeiro. The weather can already be creeping up come the spring so take advantage of Rocha Brava's swimming pools and tennis courts.

Find out how to stay here yourself by simply filling in your details at the bottom of the page.

The Holiday Property Bond could do as much for your quality of life as it has done for many thousands of families who have already invested. That's why we invite you to get in touch with us in any of these 3 ways and please don't forget our unique 'Money back promise' and 'interest free loan' options.

We're so confident you'll be delighted with HPB
that we offer you a 'Money Back Promise'!

In regular surveys, Bondholders tell us how happy they are with HPB holidays. That's why we feel confident in giving you the extra reassurance of our unprecedented 'Money Back Promise':

If you take your first HPB holiday within three years of investing and are not, for any reason, entirely happy, you can apply to cash in your HPB investment within 14 days of your return. Whatever the encashment value, the parent company of the issuer of HPB will make up any difference so that you get back the full amount of your original payment, including charges.

This offer applies to a holiday at any HPB owned property which is taken by at least one of the Bondholders themselves.

Full details of the offer will be provided before you invest.
